EXCLUSIVE TO THE VIRGINIA BLOGOSPHERE......
The above picture is that of Mr. James J. Yee (center), also known as Youssef Yee.
Mr. Yee is a Disgraced Chaplain (Captain) who formerly served in the United States Army. Mr. James J. Yee, also known as Youssef Yee, was detained in September 2003 on a return flight from Guantanamo Bay where he was serving as the Imam for detainees at Guantanamo Bay. He was detained for possible espionage. It was reported that investigators found what appeared to be sketches or diagrams of the prisoner facilities at Guantánamo in his possession and classified documents in his possession. Mr. Yee converted to Islam, went to Syria for an unknown time period, returned to the U.S. and then joined the Army.
All charges against Yee were dropped as the military feared exposure of certain sensitve information during a trail. Here is a quote from USA Today on the subject: "When the Army dropped six criminal counts against Yee in March, military officials said they did so to avoid making sensitive information public — not because he was innocent. An Army general stressed that again in April, when he took the unusual step of removing the case from Yee's permanent military record."
Yee has made some harsh comments about Guantanamo over the years and wrote a book about the subject....we were shocked to find him at the Democrat National Convention. The attached picture of Mr. Lee was taken as he was on the floor of the Democratic National Convention listening to former President Bill Clinton addressing the convention on Wednesday night, August 27, 2008.
Mr. Yee committed the alleged espionage when a Virginia Based National Guard Unit was in charge of detainee security, known as Camp Delta, at Gitmo. That Virginia based National Guard Unit was then known as the 2-116th Infantry of the 29th Infantry Division. This unit was formerly based out of Lynchburg and Charlottesville area of Virginia. That unit has since merged with the 183rd Calvary Unit that is based out of Tidewater, VA.

Chaplain James Yee was an elected national delegate to the Democratic National Convention receiving an enormous amount of support from people all over Washington State where he resides. He is seen here in this photo giving the international sign of "Love." He is a true symbol of the diversity America stands for. We need more like him.
